I wouldn't call myself an early adopter of Twitter, nor am I particularly versed on the Tweetdeck but I keep stumbling across tools for Twitter that might be worth checking out to help in your job search.
Late this past winter I was headed to Whistler; I'd never been so tweeted to get some info from my network. I received some great suggestions on bars, restaurants and skiing terrain. Most interesting to me was that within 5 minutes of my tweet, Whistler was following me. It felt a bit big brother, but it opened my amazingly un-technical eyes to the potential power of Twitter. Now I haven't had any subsequent contact from Whistler so I am unsure of the value they gained by following me, but assume it's passive info gathering.
I recently stumbled over the application that assists brands like Whistler and all the others to follow what's happening on twitter.

How does this tie back to job search? Well here is the slight leap. You can use this application to assist in your research for organizations on your target list, companies you are currently interviewing with or others you are interested in just finding out more about. Something to keep in mind (and this ties back to my Whistler experience): much of the content is user-generated.
