In conclusion of our three part series about common questions our clients asked in 2010, we want to look at the increasing challenge that marketers have to maximize efficiencies with both internal and external agency partners.
To Outsource or to Insource?
The pressure to examine external versus internal resources rose to new heights in 2010. In some cases, our clients’ in-house teams have been reduced significantly and they’re now turning to outside vendors for the first time. Other clients are bringing creative chores in house that have been handled historically by their external agencies. This year we helped clients assess their needs, culture and budgets to resolve not only what their in-house structure should look like, but also where outsourcing versus insourcing made the most sense for their business.
Will these same issues be echoed in 2011? Only time will tell…
